I beneficiari del progetto sono uomini e donne che si impegnano nell’avvio di un’attività agricola per produrre alimenti non disponibili in foresta, aumentando così le fonti nutrizionali per la propria comunità e, attraverso il commercio, per quelle delle zone limitrofe.
Il progetto, attivo da marzo 2018, ha in una prima fase promosso una sensibilizzazione ad ampio raggio per poi selezionare alcuni coltivatori diretti che hanno potuto usufruire di attrezzature e sementi per la produzione agricola di alimenti quali mais, riso, fagioli, manioca, patata dolce, zucche, arachidi e soia.
